Job summary

Advocate Health Lincoln Lab is seeking a part-time phlebotomy technician to support the efficient workflow of the laboratory.

Duties include obtaining patient specimens by venipuncture or capillary draw, processing specimens, patient registration, and providing courteous phone support. Requires a High School diploma or GED; phlebotomy certification preferred where applicable; benefits and onboarding follow Advocate Health policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collects and processes patient blood samples promptly and accurately.
• Assists in nonblood specimen processing and specimen transport.
• Performs patient registration and provides courteous phone support.
• Maintains competency with hospital LIS and related systems.
• Trains new team members and students on standard procedures.
