Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Supervisor for the 3:30pm-11:30pm shift in New Hartford, NY. You will lead the shipping/receiving team, manage schedules, and coordinate with Sales and Production Control to meet customer requirements.

The role requires an associates degree or higher with 3+ years in logistics within a manufacturing environment; proficiency in Oracle, Discoverer and Excel is expected. On-site work with competitive benefits is provided.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher along with 3+ years in logistics, shipping, distribution and/or transportation in a manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of transportation regulations/guidelines.
• Computer proficiency in ORACLE, Discoverer and Excel

Responsibilities

• Provides focus, direction and leadership for the shipping/receiving function in New Hartford.
• Supervise, direct activities, monitor productivity and set safety/quality/schedule expectations.
• Manage shipping schedules based on customer requirements as determined by Sales and Production Control.
• Manage freight costs and optimize shipping/receiving processes.
• Provide guidance to Production Supervision on daily dock targets and performance.
• Reserve material for shipments and verify documentation.
