Job summary

BioSpace is seeking a Maintenance Technician, Facilities & Utilities to inspect, operate, maintain and repair critical utility systems supporting mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety and waste management. The role follows a 2-2-3, 12-hour evening schedule: 6:00 PM-6:30 AM with a rotating pattern.

You will troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and work with engineering, EH&S and vendors to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with at least 2 years of maintenance experience or an associate’s degree in a technical field.
• Ability to complete paperwork neatly and in accordance with guidelines.
• Experience with computerized systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain high-pressure steam boilers, cooling towers, compressors, pumps and related equipment.
• Perform daily rounds to ensure equipment is operational and compliant with safety policies.
• Read and record pressures, fluid levels, and other conditions; generate reports as needed.
• Respond to site alarms and perform repairs as necessary.
• Collaborate with engineers, vendors and cross-functional teams to resolve issues and minimize downtime.
• Complete required paperwork and GMP documents clearly and timely.
• On-call to monitor and address equipment repairs.
