Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services seeks a Shift Supervisor to direct associates on a scheduled shift, ensuring tasks meet quality, safety and policy standards. The role emphasizes supervising, training, scheduling and coaching, with opportunities to mentor staff and drive customer service excellence.

The position requires prior food experience and cash handling, and offers full-time and part-time opportunities at an on-site CSU-San Bernardino location. Pay is $20.00–$21.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Previous food experience and cash-handling skills required, with the ability to lead and train a team.

Responsibilities

• Direct the activities of associates during a specific shift and oversee that assigned job expectations are completed while policy and procedure is maintained.
• Provide training and create work schedules.
• Evaluate the performance of workers, rewarding high performers and disciplining employees who fail to meet standards.
• Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure unit meets quality, productivity and safety expectations.
• Serve as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
• Mentor and develop employees and encourage advancement within the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
