Shelter House in Fairfax, VA is seeking a Shift Supervisor for the evening shift. You will supervise Residential Coordinators, lead on-site operations, support crisis interventions, and ensure compliance with agency policies on each shift.

The role emphasizes team leadership, client-centered care, and strong documentation practices in a busy emergency shelter setting for families. You will report to the Assistant Director of Operations and ensure smooth daily operations.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years in human services field (homelessness, family services, or related).
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Leadership or management experience is a plus.

Mansioni

• Supervise Residential Coordinators on shift and ensure safety and service delivery.
• Act as on-site leader for shift operations and crisis response.
• Ensure adherence to Shelter House policies and shift handoffs are documented.
• Support staff development through feedback, training, and modeling core values.
• Maintain logs, incident reports, and daily shift documentation.
• Coordinate donations, volunteers, and inventory on shift.
• Engage in client-centered, trauma-informed service delivery.
