Job summary

Personalcare Registered Professional Nursing P.C. is seeking enthusiastic Registered Nurses for the evening shift in the Medical Department at the Allegany County Jail, Belmont, NY. The RN will monitor patient care, perform assessments, and ensure compliance with nursing standards within security protocols.

The role requires NY RN licensure, strong clinical decision-making, and excellent communication. On-site work with an orientation period and opportunities for growth are provided.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in New York.
• Clinical decision-making ability is required.
• Effective communication skills are required.
• Ability to function independently and demonstrate clinical competency.
• Ability to gain the trust of patients and build relationships.
• Experience may be substituted with prior education/experience.
• Healthcare delivery experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor nursing care and ensure standards are met.
• Assess and provide treatment within protocol and security requirements.
• Maintain accurate records for controlled substances and sharps.
• Provide health counseling and conduct sick calls per protocol.
• Document symptoms, progress, and plan of nursing care.
• Take vital signs and full assessments at the start of each shift.
