Job summary

Memorial Health System - Ohio in Belpre, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 12-hour evening shift. The role involves delivering professional nursing care, patient teaching, and directing ancillary staff within hospital policies.

You will participate in shift handoffs, conduct rounds and assessments, coordinate discharge planning, document in Meditech, and collaborate with physicians and the care team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current licensure in the State of Ohio as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS certification and annual stroke education required upon hire.
• ACLS, PALS and TNCC required within 1 year of employment.
• ASLS certification preferred upon hire.
• Stroke Education is required during orientation, including policies, NIHSS, ASLS & T-PA administration.
• NRP within 1 year of employment.
• Maintains compliance in RQI.

Responsibilities

• Participates in bedside shift report/handoff.
• Performs hourly rounding.
• Obtains required patient assessments and reassessments per nursing policy.
• Coordinates discharge planning and documents teaching.
• Implements and monitors nursing interventions.
• Documents assessments, interventions and outcomes in Meditech.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to identify patient needs.
• Triages patients and communicates changes to physicians using SBAR.
• Delivers patient care with appropriate delegation and teamwork.
• Maintains therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
