Ascension Living in Washington, DC is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Skilled Nursing unit. This full-time evening-shift role involves coordinating multidisciplinary care, implementing care plans, and carrying out physician and nursing orders.

You will work on resident safety, discharge planning, and ensure high-quality patient care in a supportive, mission-driven environment within a leading nonprofit health system.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assure resident safety by identifying safety hazards and emergency situations and initiate corrective action as appropriate.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Education

Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
