Job summary

Ascension Living in Washington, D.C. (Carroll Manor) is seeking a dedicated Nurse Aide for the Skilled Nursing department. This full-time, evening shift position supports residents with personal care, mobility, and daily activities, while working under RN supervision to ensure safety and quality of care.

You will report changes to nursing staff, assist with room upkeep, and help maintain a safe environment. A Nurse Aide certification is required or obtained prior to hire, with BLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Nurse Aide certification prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• BLS Provider is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with procedures ordered by physician and supervised by a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Assist patients with tending to personal care, activities of daily living and transfers/transport.
• Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Assist with keeping patient rooms clean and orderly; ensure resident safety and initiate corrective action as needed.
