Job summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care for residents in long term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. Demonstrates knowledge of nursing principles for the resident in the relevant clinical setting.

Possess the ability to perform testing to evaluate data reflective of the resident's status and to provide the care needed. Ensures the health, comfort and safety of residents.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program and be licensed as an LPN.
• If IV therapy is required, ND requirements apply (AASPN or IV course).
• Hold licensure with state nursing board or multi-state licensure; maintain CEU requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in long-term care under supervision.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Document resident interactions and outcomes; communicate with the care team.
