Job summary

Atlantic Health Overlook Medical Center is seeking a Full-Time Environmental Aide I (Housekeeping) for the Environmental Services Department. Required hours are 11:00AM - 7:00PM, including every other weekend. Starting rate $18.50/hr.

Responsibilities include cleaning nursing units and patient rooms, restocking carts, disposing of trash, handling bio-hazard materials, and reporting repairs. Requires HS diploma or GED and ability to lift 50 pounds; prior healthcare housekeeping and customer

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Must be able to bend/push/pull/lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Cleans nursing units, patients' rooms and designated areas using appropriate cleaning equipment.
• Follows cleaning, disinfecting and deodorization procedures.
• Cleans up major spills and responds to pages promptly.
• Cleans and restocks housekeeping carts; removes trash and linen.
• Handles cleaning solution preparation and bio-hazard materials.
• Reports repairs and attends department meetings.
