Job summary

Kids for the Future in Grand Forks, ND seeks a dependable custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and attractive environment after hours. You will handle general cleaning, floor care, and assist with special activities, while learning building systems and preventive maintenance.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, ability to lift up to 60 pounds, and good teamwork. Evening hours are 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends depending on events.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of housekeeping, floor care, and maintenance procedures; ability to learn equipment operation.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Good human relations skills.
• Read and follow multi-step instructions; basic math knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform general custodial duties including floor care and cleaning.
• Grounds maintenance tasks including snow removal and lawn/garden work.
• Assist other staff with special activities preparations.
• Learn operation of building mechanical systems.
• Assist Head/Lead Custodian and maintenance staff with preventive maintenance.
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
