Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related science required
• Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related science required

• ASCP certification preferred or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and special laboratory procedures in one or more sections
• Evaluates and reports results for patient diagnosis and treatment
• Maintains inventory and lab area organization
• Operates and maintains laboratory equipment; troubleshoots issues
• Conducts quality control and participates in corrective actions
• Prepares reagents, media, and labeling per procedure
• Trains new staff and students on procedures
• Participates in multidisciplinary quality and service improvement teams
