Job summary

Brookwood Skilled Nursing & Therapy is hiring a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA I/II) to provide direct resident care in a non-exempt, full-time evening shift.

The CNA will assist with activities of daily living, monitor residents, maintain infection control, document care, and report changes to the Staff Nurse. Training and compliance with OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen standards are required.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an approved CNA training program and passed competency examinations.
• If applying as a CNA candidate, must enroll and complete an approved training program and pass competency examinations within 120 days of employment.
• Must demonstrate a moderate level of computer literacy to use our systems and documentation tools.
• Must be able to effectively communicate and interact with staff and residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care as assigned in the plan of care.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, mobility).
• Identify safety hazards and report to the Staff Nurse promptly.
• Attend in-service training and participate in unit orientation.
• Maintain infection control practices and document care accurately.
• Support residents' rights and promote social interactions.
