Job summary

PTA Plastics in Niwot, CO is seeking a Set Up Technician for the 2nd shift (2:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.). You will set up, adjust, and maintain plastic injection molding machines in a low-volume, high-mix environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in plastics manufacturing is a plus.
• Proven experience setting up and operating plastic injection molding machines.
• Ability to read and follow English work instructions; strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up plastic injection molding machines according to production specs.
• Perform mold changes, including installation, alignment, and connection of molds and auxiliary equipment.
• Run trials, troubleshoot equipment and processes, and minimize downtime with maintenance coordination.
• Collaborate to optimize processes, monitor quality, and ensure safety compliance.
