Job summary

The Trade Hotel Milwaukee is seeking an Evening Server to provide friendly, attentive service during dinner shifts and contribute to a memorable guest experience. You will take orders, deliver food and drinks, check in with guests, and use the POS to post payments and prepare checks.

Weekend availability is required, and experienced candidates may qualify for a higher wage; starting wage is $8/hour plus gratuity.

Qualifications

• Three or more months of restaurant experience
• Motivated to maintain excellent customer service reputation
• Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced setting

Responsibilities

• Serve up a memorable dining experience as a Server, taking orders, delivering food and drinks, and ensuring every guest enjoys friendly, attentive service.
• Greet every guest with a friendly smile and welcoming attitude
• Take dining room and room service orders; communicating them to the kitchen through the point-of-sale system; follow-up directly with cooks as needed
• Check in frequently with guests to ensure all needs and expectations are being met
• Prepare checks and post payments using the point-of-sale system
• Remove dishware from tables/counters during the dining experience as well as at the end; take them to the kitchen for washing
• Clean and sanitize the service and guest areas of the restaurant as needed
