Job summary

Oakmont Management Group is hiring a Care Provider for a part-time role in our San Jose senior living community. You will assist residents with daily living activities, respond to needs promptly, and help maintain a safe, respectful environment on site.

The role requires 18+ years old, a high school diploma or GED, and a genuine desire to care for the elderly. Training is provided, with regulatory health checks and PPE as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience preferred but not necessary; we will train the right candidate.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• For health and safety, vaccinations/testing and PPE may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents in Activities of Daily Living (ADL) as per care plan (eat, bathe, dress, toilet, transfer, continence).
• Respond to residents' needs promptly while maintaining dignity, safety, and confidentiality.
• Communicate observed changes of condition to a supervisor immediately.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, residents, and guests following safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
