Job summary

Treston Security Services seeks a dependable Security Post Commander to lead security operations for an HOA community in the Los Angeles area. You will supervise officers, conduct briefings, and manage patrols while ensuring post orders are followed and residents are served with professionalism.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and incident response skills, with a Tuesday–Saturday 2:00 PM–10:30 PM schedule and on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Valid California BSIS Guard Card – physical card required.
• Powers to Arrest Certificate – required.
• Appropriate Use of Force Certificate – required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must be able to safely ride a bicycle for patrol duties.
• Previous security supervisory or team-lead experience.
• HOA, residential community, or property-management security experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise assigned officers and ensure proper staffing, post coverage, punctuality, and uniform compliance.
• Conduct shift briefings, assign duties, coordinate breaks, and communicate information between shifts.
• Perform and oversee foot, bicycle, and vehicle patrols throughout the community.
• Monitor common areas, access points, parking areas, and other locations for safety concerns and suspicious activity.
• Address resident and visitor concerns courteously while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Apply community parking and access rules consistently, within procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances and emergencies using sound judgment and de-escalation.
• Complete and review daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift pass-downs.
• Communicate significant incidents and staffing issues to management and property representatives.
• Coach officers and reinforce company policies and site procedures.
