Job summary

Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, is hiring a part-time security officer in Honolulu, HI. You will provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while performing patrols, access control, and emergency response duties.

The position requires a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma, and the ability to complete a background check and drug screen. Flexible shifts and growth opportunities available within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• A valid driver's license is required.
• State/county/city security license preferred.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted under applicable laws.
• Drug screening required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and utility operations personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and potential hazards.
• Monitor access to assigned locations by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and following established entry and exit procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports on incidents, patrol observations, and other security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site contacts.
