Job summary

Grit Marketing in Lindon, Utah is seeking a vigilant Security Officer to safeguard our building during evening hours. You will monitor access, perform patrols, respond to emergencies, and coordinate with staff to maintain a safe environment.

The ideal candidate has security experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and CPR/First Aid certifications. You will operate cameras and alarms, and may perform light maintenance tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in security or related field preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in security procedures is a plus.
• Certifications: CPR, First Aid, Security Guard License if available.
• Basic proficiency with hand tools and handyman skills (drywall repair, assembly, cleaning) highly preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain situational awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and respond quickly to emergencies.
• Maintain a professional appearance at all times.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the building, ensuring authorized entry.
• Conduct regular patrols and surveillance to detect and prevent security breaches.
• Act promptly in emergencies, following procedures to ensure safety of occupants.
• Provide clear incident reports and maintain accurate records.
• Operate security equipment including cameras, alarms, and access control.
• Assist with event setup/breakdown during evenings and weekends.
• Perform light maintenance tasks as needed to maintain safety and aesthetics.
• Identify and address minor building issues during patrols.
