Job summary

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Rochester is hiring a Full-time Security Guard to ensure the safety of staff, clients, and visitors at our agency. Under supervision, you will support a trauma-informed care environment and work to maintain secure facilities in Rochester, NY.

The position requires at least two years of guard experience, NYS Security Guard Registration, and an associate degree or equivalent experience. Schedule is Sun-Thurs, 3pm-11pm, with competitive pay and full benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• NY State Security Guard Registration required.
• Valid and clean NYS Driver’s License preferred.
• Minimum of two years of experience working as a security guard.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety and security standards and complete incident reports as required.
• Patrol assigned area to protect clients, visitors, property and equipment.
• Manage program parking location and coordinate towing services.
• Inspect doors, windows, and gates; monitor alarms and access control.
• Detect and report irregularities and security breaches; contact police or emergency responders as needed.
• Provide backup to receptionist and assist in reception area.
• Participate in staff and department meetings; pursue professional development.
