Job summary

Genesee Brewing Company in Rochester, NY is seeking a Security Officer for the 2nd shift (3PM-11PM) to maintain a safe facility for employees and visitors. You will monitor cameras, patrol, respond to emergencies, and control access with professionalism on a full-time basis.

The job requires NYS security license, driver’s license, and 1 year of security experience; AED/BAT certifications are a plus. Benefits include generous time off, holidays, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Must possess NYS Security License.
• Current on 16-hour OJT or 8-hour renewal.
• NYSD Driver’s License required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice is a plus.
• 1 year of Security experience or more preferred.
• AED/BAT certifications.
• Ability to assess and diffuse contentious situations and maintain strict confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assure the safety and security of our employees and visitors.
• Respond quickly to medical and brewery emergencies.
• Lock down/open up brewery and monitor facility via surveillance cameras and patrols.
• Ensure 24/7 security coverage for Genesee Brewing Company.
• Monitor 50+ surveillance cameras and parking lots.
• Operate the Simplex fire alarm system and ammonia hazard awareness.
• Conduct security rounds, tours, inspections, and mobile patrols.
• Greet and log-in visitors; dispatch calls appropriately.
• Serve as First Responder for emergencies and medical transports.
• Provide security training for medical, active shooter, bomb threats, and other emergencies.
• Maintain daily activity logs and incident reports.
• Manage employee ID badges and access control.
• Participate in daily shift meetings to align the security team.
• Assist Brew House patrons and community events with security.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and EHS for area safety.
