Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health in Burlington, MA is seeking a Charge Officer - Security for the Evening Shift. In support of supervisory staff, you assist with the daily supervision of Security Officers and coordinate responses to emergencies, protecting patients, visitors and colleagues, as well as the buildings and grounds.

Lead responsibilities include allocating staff resources, counseling staff on performance, attendance, or behavior, and coordinating with Nursing Supervisors on patient safety

Qualifications

• 3 years of security experience with a minimum of 1 year in a leadership role.
• Current valid driver’s license required.
• Observant and detail-oriented with ability to stay calm in difficult situations; strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Allocate staff resources and supervise security officers.
• Counsel staff on performance, attendance, or behavior in coordination with supervisors.
• Work with Nursing Supervisors on patient safety, escalate codes and security events.
• Assist with training of new officers and refresher training.
