Job summary

Jefferson City School District in Jefferson City, MO is seeking a Maintenance Painter to provide painting services across district facilities, prepare surfaces, and complete projects to trade standards. You will work evenings (2:30 PM–11:00 PM), coordinate with the Maintenance Supervisor, and contribute to maintaining safe, attractive classrooms and buildings.

A High School diploma or equivalent and EPA Lead Certification preferred are required or desired, with 3–5 years’ related experience

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of job related experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all staff.
• Basic technological skills.

Responsibilities

• Paint a variety of building surfaces (masonry, drywall, plaster, stucco and EIFS) with brush and/or roller.
• Prepare surfaces and repairs to ensure readiness for painting.
• Evaluate condition and identify repairs or preventive maintenance needs.
• Estimate materials and equipment needed to complete projects.
• Coordinate with supervisor and other trades to complete work orders.
• Work independently during evening hours (2:30PM-11:00PM).
