Job summary

Lincoln Academy in Pleasant Grove, UT, is seeking a Second Shift Maintenance/Custodian. This part-time role supports cleaning, light maintenance, and preventive tasks to keep classrooms and facilities safe and orderly for students and staff.

The job combines cleaning with basic maintenance duties, with shifts 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. during the school year and roughly 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in summer; pay is experience-based.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; training will be provided.
• Ability to safely operate and handle equipment, tools, and machinery.
• Ability to lift and carry approximately 30–60 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, squat, stoop, push, pull, twist, bend, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods of time.
• Familiarity with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) is preferred.
• Demonstrates integrity, dependability, and the ability to work independently.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Must be able to successfully pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Performing general school cleaning.
• Completing routine repairs and light maintenance.
• Performing preventive maintenance.
• Responding to and closing facilities work tickets.
• Documenting work completed and actions taken.
• Reporting safety, security, maintenance, or facility concerns.
• Completing an end-of-shift handoff with the night custodial crew.
