Job summary

Bristol Public Schools is seeking a Custodian to maintain district school facilities in a clean, safe, and fully functional state.

The role involves cleaning, minor repairs, grounds work, restocking supplies, and supporting the head custodian, with the ability to substitute as needed. A high school diploma or GED is preferred; strong reliability and ability to follow safety rules are essential. Work hours 2:30 PM–11:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports and maintain basic records.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining seasonal grounds work (snow, lawn).
• Clean and preserve designated spaces, equipment, etc. in the building.
• Restock disposable items and provide inventory data to head custodian.
• Assist the public in using facilities and equipment.
• Maintain building and grounds security during school days.
