Job summary

Parkway Schools is hiring a Head Custodian III to manage operations at Craig Elementary. The role runs year-round with an 8-hour shift from 2:30 pm to 11 pm, non-exempt status, and is based in Missouri.

Qualifications

• Job-related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is desired.
• Criminal Background Check required.

Responsibilities

• Cleans assigned facilities and/or grounds to maintain a sanitary, safe, and attractive environment.
• Coordinate activities with staff and building administration for efficient maintenance.
• Inform students, teachers, and on-site personnel about safety and maintenance information.
• Inspect facilities to ensure safe, clean, and operational conditions and identify needed repairs.
• Maintain supplies and equipment to ensure custodial items are available.
• Oversee custodial staff and activities to ensure standards are met.
• Participate in meetings, training, and seminars for job-related information.
• Perform maintenance and setup tasks for events and daily operations.
• Perform minor maintenance on custodial equipment and furnishings.
• Prepare sites for daily operations, open/close gates, secure doors/windows, and address hazards.
• Prepare written records like safety inspections and time sheets for administration.
• Replenish classroom and restroom supplies; requisition equipment as needed.
• Respond to safety and operational concerns and coordinate with appropriate personnel.
• Secure facilities and grounds to minimize risk and loss.
• Assist other site maintenance staff as needed.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent
