Job summary

Gentry Public Schools is seeking an Evening Custodial Substitute to perform routine custodial tasks at an assigned school site, ensuring clean, orderly, and secure facilities. The on-call role covers evenings, with shifts from 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM and Monday through Friday as needed.

Responsibilities include cleaning classrooms, restrooms, gym, cafeteria, and offices; reporting hazards; maintaining building security; and assisting with special events.

Qualifications

• Must pass criminal background check and DHS Child Maltreatment Registry check.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to push, carry, and lift up to 50 lb.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine custodial tasks at assigned site; sweeps, scrubs, mops, waxes, polishes floors and vacuums rugs and carpets in classrooms, offices, workshops, and other areas.
• Cleans classrooms, restrooms, locker rooms, shops, cafeteria, offices and related facilities; cleans gymnasium floor and scrubs spills as needed.
• Cleans and disinfects drinking fountains, sinks, toilets, showers, and urinals; cleans mirrors, tile, and windows.
• Reports safety, sanitary, and fire hazards to appropriate authority; maintains security of buildings; reports infractions of rules to supervisor.
