Job summary

Hemlock Public School District is seeking a Full-Time School Custodian for the second shift (2:30 pm - 11:00 pm). The successful candidate will perform cleaning, lawn care, snow removal, minor repairs, and supply management while maintaining a safe school environment for students and staff.

The role requires background checks, physical stamina, and strong attention to detail, with the opportunity to support transportation by obtaining a CDL if needed.

Qualifications

• Background check and fingerprinting required.
• Proven custodial or janitorial work experience.

Responsibilities

• Work with the building head custodians.
• General cleaning, lawn care, snow removal, and painting.
• Handle cleaning chemicals and order supplies.
• Minor plumbing and maintenance with supervision.
• Lift at least 50 pounds; supervise student areas as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
