Job summary

Spokane Public Schools is seeking a dedicated custodial staff member to ensure a clean and safe learning environment across district facilities. The role operates in the 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM shift, offering opportunities to support students and staff after school hours.

Responsibilities include cleaning tasks, equipment operation, and occasional supervision of junior staff, with benefits through SEBB for eligible employees and additional paid time off as negotiated by collective bargaining

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds, stand for long periods and perform heavy labor.
• Ability to read, write and understand operational instructions and complete reports.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, vacuum and mop floors as needed; move furniture and equipment; dust, wash fixtures, and sanitize areas.
• Maintain sidewalks and outdoor areas; perform snow removal and de-icing as required.
