Northside Catholic Academy in Chicago is seeking a dependable part-time custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment after school hours. The role focuses on sanitizing classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas, with duties including trash removal, floor care, and disinfecting high-touch surfaces.

The position offers roughly 20–25 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday between 3:30 pm and 10:00 pm, with occasional additional hours for summer cleaning or events.

Qualifications

• Previous custodial or commercial cleaning experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, reaching, standing, walking, and climbing stairs.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must successfully complete a background check and comply with all school safe-environment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize classrooms, including waste handling, floors, desks, and fixtures.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms and common areas.
• Vacuum carpets and mop hard surfaces throughout the building.
• Lock windows, turn off lights, and secure the building after the shift.
• Report maintenance concerns to administration.
• Assist with occasional special cleaning projects during breaks or events.
