Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Part-Time Custodian/Janitorial Worker for an Apex, NC school facility. You will clean classrooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas, following safety procedures and cleaning schedules.

The role emphasizes afternoon/evening shifts with physical tasks throughout the shift. Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing, trash disposal, and restocking supplies.

Qualifications

• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to perform physical cleaning tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, push, pull, and lift cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Ability to follow cleaning procedures, safety requirements, and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain classrooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, cafeterias, and other assigned areas
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize surfaces according to cleaning schedules
• Collect, transport, and dispose of trash and recycling in designated locations
• Restock restroom, classroom, and janitorial supplies as needed
• Operate and maintain custodial equipment such as vacuums, mops, floor care tools, and cleaning carts
• Follow established cleaning procedures, chemical handling guidelines, and safety requirements
• Identify and report maintenance, safety, or facility issues through the appropriate process
• Assist with deep cleaning projects, event setup/cleanup, and seasonal cleaning activities
• Help secure the facility by locking and unlocking designated areas as required
• Maintain a clean, professional, and safe environment for students, staff, visitors, and coworkers
• Work independently while also supporting team cleaning goals
• Follow OSHA, company, and site-specific safety standards at all times
