Job summary

Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose Schools is seeking a Custodian to provide cleaning and maintenance support at Buffalo High School (0067). The schedule runs Monday to Friday, 3:30pm–12:00am, 12 months per year, with 80% cleaning duties and additional setup/teardown and grounds tasks as needed.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent; no prior custodial experience is required. Candidates must be able to work in a team, follow directions, and handle lifting and basic maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• No prior custodial experience required.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally more.

Responsibilities

• Clean, scrub, mop, dust, vacuum or sweep floors, rooms and facilities.
• Respond to emergency cleanup situations.
• Restock supplies and maintain custodial areas.
• Maintain building security and monitor access as needed.
• Set up for events and assist with maintenance tasks.
• Attend meetings and trainings as assigned.
