Qualifications

• Physically and mentally capable of performing tasks within the job description.
• Must have obtained a High School Diploma or GED.
• Successful passage of the State Competency Test for Custodians or holds or has held the classification as a Custodian.

Responsibilities

• Maintain appearance, repair and general care of school grounds and buildings.
• Operate the small heating plant and ensure heating/ventilation compliance.
• Keep buildings and grounds clean and free of refuse; daily inspections for safety and upkeep.
• Ensure care, maintenance, protection and preservation of buildings, contents and grounds.
• Maintain high personal cleanliness, be courteous and professional in interactions with pupils, staff and the public.
• Notify principal/Central Office promptly if unable to be on the job; supervise tasks as assigned.
