Township High School District 214 is seeking a Custodian I for the 3rd shift at BGHS. This 40-hour weekly role supports a safe, clean school environment and prepares facilities for programs and activities.

Initial location is BGHS, with a starting wage of $24.07 per hour under CMS13, Step 1. Duties include cleaning, moving equipment, setting up spaces, and adhering to safety and district policies.

Qualifications

• Regular attendance with no attendance abuse in the past two years as described in the contract.
• Effective communication with students, staff, and the general public.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to use prescribed safety and personal protective equipment.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs frequently and up to 80 lbs occasionally.
• Capable of performing physical labor in varying weather conditions.
• Able to climb stairs and ladders and work from scaffolding and lifts.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, twist, reach, and operate related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform general custodial duties to maintain safety and cleanliness of the school facility.
• Move student equipment and set up for programs and activities.
• Operate cleaning equipment and sanitize areas as assigned.
• Monitor building systems and report needed repairs.
• Participate in district training programs and respond to electronic communications.
