Job summary

Mesa Public Schools is seeking a custodian to maintain the cleanliness and safe conditions of a school environment. This full-time role covers 40 hours per week with an evening second shift and a $0.35/hr shift pay.

The position includes benefits such as vacation, sick leave, holidays, retirement matched through the Arizona State Retirement System, health and life insurance, plus annual performance pay. Drug testing during probation and onboarding is required.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of custodial equipment and cleaning procedures.
• Preferred High School diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial duties as required by district standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and safe condition of the schools.
• Operate custodial power equipment.
• Assist in moving equipment and furniture as required.
• Regular and on-time attendance required.
• Perform other related duties, as assigned, to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
• Assists with other assigned duties as appropriate to the area of assignment and Mesa Public Schools.
