Job summary

Allegheny Intermediate Unit is seeking a Custodian: Day to Day Substitute Sunrise School (Finance) to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This role primarily works in the evenings.

You will perform daily cleaning, light maintenance, restock supplies, and assist with setups for events, collaborating with teachers and administrators. The position requires basic maintenance knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to handle cleaning chemicals

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in custodial or maintenance preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and sanitization of classrooms, restrooms, hallways, offices and common areas.
• Basic maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and small repairs.
• Ensure safety, lock/unlock facilities and assist in emergencies.
• Set up furniture/equipment for events and support staff needs.
• Collaborate with teachers and administrators to support operations.
