Job summary

Dodge City Public Schools is seeking a Night Custodian for Northwest Elementary. Shift hours are 2:30–11:00 pm. The role involves general cleaning, maintenance, and support for students, staff and visitors, under supervision of building leadership.

Responsibilities include cleaning floors, restrooms, offices and common areas; maintaining equipment; assisting with deliveries and setup for events, and supporting recycling programs as needed. Prior custodial experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Reads, writes, and speaks English fluently.
• Ability to follow oral/written work orders from supervisor.
• Ability to describe cleaning/maintenance needs.
• Ability to establish cooperative working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Cleans rooms, hallways, cafeterias, restrooms, offices, stairways and other areas per district standards.
• Sweeps, mops, buffs, strips and waxes floors.
• Cleans rugs, carpets, and blinds; washes walls and windows.
• Delivers supplies to classrooms and stores garbage and recyclables.
• Performs grounds-keeping duties and snow removal duties as needed.
