Job summary

Maricopa Unified School District is seeking a dedicated Custodian to maintain a clean and secure school environment. The position is full-time for 11 months with an evening schedule, supporting classrooms, common areas, and facilities.

The role requires knowledge of cleaning practices, basic maintenance, and the ability to follow directions. Valid fingerprint clearance and a GED/HS diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six months cleaning or minor maintenance experience.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Valid Arizona DPS IVP Fingerprint Clearance card.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and vacuums classrooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, storage areas and lounges.
• Sweeps and mops floors, collects and disposes of trash, cleans furniture and fixtures; and replaces supplies.
• Assists in the cafeteria and/or in opening up the building, disarming alarms, and setting up traffic control requirements.
• May perform minor maintenance and repair on buildings, fixtures, grounds and equipment.
• Transports equipment and assists in setting up rooms for meetings and events.
• Maintains an inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
