Job summary

Grand Island Public Schools is seeking an Assistant Custodian for Stolley Park Elementary. This part-time, 4-hour shift runs from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for a 12-month position.

Training wage is $19.03 per hour, including a 0.50 shift differential. Under supervision, you will perform general cleaning, maintain equipment, and assist with deliveries and snow removal. Previous custodial experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or completion of sufficient education to perform duties.
• Previous experience in building and cleaning maintenance desirable.
• State Motor Vehicle Operator's license or ability to provide own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Check and secure building at beginning and end of shift for safety and cleanliness.
• Clean rooms, hallways, cafeterias, restrooms, offices and other areas per district standards.
• Sweep, mop, buff, strip and wax floors; clean rugs and blinds; wash walls and windows.
• Receive deliveries, assist in unloading and distribute supplies to classrooms and other areas.
• Performs grounds-keeping duties, snow removal and debris removal; support during events.
