Job summary

Mesa Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Custodian to perform district-standard custodial duties and maintain clean, safe school environments. This full-time position (40 hours/week) includes a second shift with a $0.35/hour shift premium and a base hourly rate of $17.12; benefits include vacation, sick leave, holidays, health and life insurance and retirement matching.

Prior to employment or during the first 3 months of probation, drug and alcohol testing is required for all new contract

Qualifications

• Must have working knowledge of custodial equipment and cleaning procedures.
• Experience with school custodial environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial duties to district standards
• Maintain cleanliness and safe conditions in classrooms and common areas
• Operate custodial power equipment
• Assist with moving equipment and furniture
• Maintain regular and on-time attendance
• Support other duties as assigned
