Job summary

Mesa Public Schools is seeking a full-time custodian for the Westwood High School campus. The position features a 2nd shift with evening hours and a starting hourly rate of $17.12, plus $0.35/hr for shift pay, and a 12-month calendar.

The role requires dependable, safety-conscious work in classrooms, hallways, gyms, cafeterias and offices, with responsibilities including cleaning, maintenance of facilities, and timely attendance; drug testing during probation may apply as per district policy.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of custodial equipment, supplies, and cleaning procedures.
• High School education or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial duties as required by district standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and safe conditions of school facilities.
• Operate custodial power equipment.
• Assist in moving equipment and furniture as required.
• Regular and on-time attendance is required.
• Perform other related duties to ensure efficient functioning of the work unit.
• Assist with additional duties as assigned by Mesa Public Schools.
