Job summary

The Nashua School District seeks a Custodian for the 2nd shift at Fairgrounds Middle School. Start date is November 2, 2026, with a wage of $22.04/hr after a 90-day probation (probation rate is $2.00 less per hour).

Qualified candidates have at least a high school education or equivalent and one year of janitorial experience. Position requires physical dexterity and ability to perform demanding duties in a school environment.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of janitorial experience.
• Physical ability to walk, stand, climb stairs and ladders, lift 100 lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Custodian in maintaining the building and grounds in a clean, orderly and safe condition.
• Sweep and mop floors; wash windows and glass; change light bulbs as needed.
• Assist with moving furniture and equipment; perform minor emergency repairs.
• Maintain and operate janitorial equipment; aid in emergency cleanups and snow removal as required.
• Support cafeteria operations and other job-related duties as assigned.
