Job summary

Caledonia Community School District is seeking a High School Complex Custodian for the 2nd shift. The role involves coordinating custodial services across assigned sites, ensuring a clean, safe environment for students and staff.

The position reports to the Operations Supervisor and requires shift coverage for emergencies and events. Work year is 52 weeks with 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Thorough working knowledge of custodial work, including cleaning methods and materials.
• Experience in sanitation, custodial, or maintenance positions preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean, dust, and wipe furniture; sweep, mop, or vacuum floors; empty and clean wastebaskets; replace light bulbs; refill restroom dispensers and wash windows.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms/bathrooms.
• Inspect and perform minor maintenance of playground equipment.
• Assist with daily setup and teardown of lunchroom tables and cover lunch periods when needed.
• Monitor custodial supplies and chemicals usage; assist with inventory.
