Job summary

Bloomington Public Schools is seeking a Base Custodian (On-going/As-Needed) for the second shift. The role involves cleaning and maintaining school facilities, setting up and taking down for events, and performing minor repairs.

This on-site position runs 8 hours daily, five days per week, for 261 days a year. Requirements include reliable attendance, ability to lift up to 60 lbs, and the capacity to work independently or in a team with good communication skills.

Qualifications

• Prompt, regular and reliable attendance.
• Able to lift 60 lbs.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Mechanical ability.
• Demonstrate written and verbal skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain areas of a school building such as sweeping, emptying waste baskets, mopping, vacuuming, minor repairs, setting up for events and take downs.
• Other duties as assigned.
