Job summary

Boulder Valley School District seeks a Custodian at Nederland Elementary. This 0.5 FTE, 3PM-7PM, 20.47-28.23 USD/hour role provides a safe, sanitary environment for students, staff, and the community.

Responsibilities include cleaning, event setup, securing the building, and reporting safety or custodial supply needs. Must be able to stand for eight hours, lift up to 50 pounds (occasional 100 pounds), and pass practical and written tests for consideration.

Qualifications

• Complete and submit BVSD online application
• Communicate in English (read, write, and speak)
• Ability to stand up to eight hours daily
• Ability to perform physical labor with heavy lifting up to 50 pounds (occasional up to 100 pounds)
• Must pass practical and written tests
• Experience operating custodial equipment (preferred)
• Safety awareness and ability to work with diverse people (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Clean areas of building; remove trash
• Assist in set-up and breakdown for sporting events, special events, and meetings
• Secure the building by locking doors
• Report maintenance/safety issues and supply/equipment needs
• Stand for up to eight hours and perform physical tasks
• Lift up to 50 pounds, possible lifts up to 100 pounds, climb ladders
• Work 2nd shift, 3PM-7PM
• Perform other duties as assigned
