Job summary

CoxHealth South in Springfield, MO seeks a Same Day Surgery nurse to oversee care of pre- and post-surgical patients across ages. The nurse directs care in all surgical specialties, assesses anesthesia recovery, and educates patients and families on home care instructions. Evening shift, 36 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct care of pre- and post-surgical patients across ages.
• Assess anesthesia recovery and educate patients and families on home care instructions.
• Provide leadership in the same day surgery setting and collaborate with surgical teams.
