Job summary

Kana Hotel Group is seeking a Room Inspector to join the Housekeeping team. You will inspect guest rooms for cleanliness and readiness, support late checkouts and room refreshes, and coordinate with Front Desk and maintenance to maintain Marriott-brand standards.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, teamwork, and timely communication to ensure rooms are ready for guests and meet service expectations.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel housekeeping, room inspection, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced hotel environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and move throughout the hotel for extended periods.
• Must be dependable and able to consistently work the scheduled 11:00 AM–7:00 PM shift.

Responsibilities

• Complete inspections of guest rooms not yet inspected by the Housekeeping Manager.
• Inspect rooms for cleanliness, maintenance issues, setup, presentation, and readiness for guests.
• Ensure rooms meet established hotel and Marriott brand standards before occupancy.
• Identify and communicate deficiencies to housekeeping staff and ensure corrections are completed.
• Reinspect rooms after corrections when necessary.
• Identify maintenance concerns and communicate them to the appropriate department.
• Monitor recurring housekeeping or room-condition issues and communicate trends to the Housekeeping Manager.
• Complete housekeeping service for late checkouts, especially Elite Bonvoy members.
• Coordinate with Front Desk on rooms with late checkouts and departure times.
• Prioritize late checkout rooms for quick cleaning and inspection.
• Communicate room status updates to the Front Desk.
• Complete or coordinate late-day room refresh requests.
• Respond to housekeeping requests (towels, linens, amenities, trash) from Front Desk and guests.
• Assist with urgent housekeeping needs in the afternoon/evening.
• Assist room attendants to complete inspections timely and maintain standards.
• Maintain regular communication with Front Desk and Housekeeping to resolve issues.
