Job summary

Tennessee State Veterans’ Homes Board is seeking a dedicated Supervising RN for the Murfreesboro facility to oversee nursing staff during the 3pm–11pm shift. The role focuses on delivering high-quality resident care, guiding day-to-day operations, and ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license with prior nursing home supervisory experience and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have a current & active RN License.
• Proven experience working as a Registered Nurse in a healthcare or nursing home setting with management and /or supervisory experience
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and delegate effectively
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and best practices

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, including assigning tasks and evaluating performance
• Ensure that all patient care plans are followed and that documentation is accurate and complete
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and outcomes
• Monitor inventory levels of medications and supplies, and reorder as needed
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with all regulations
