Job summary

Ryders Health Management in Waterbury, CT seeks a compassionate RN Supervisor to oversee daily nursing operations on the unit during the 3p-11p shift. You will supervise RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, ensure accurate documentation, and coordinate with the DON and interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Active CT RN license.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred.
• English proficiency: reading and writing.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day nursing operations on the unit under DON oversight.
• Supervise, delegate, and coordinate care by RNs, LPNs, CNAs.
• Perform rounds to assess residents and monitor conditions.
• Provide direct nursing care as needed (IVs, specimens, treatments).
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents; coordinate with interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain timely documentation of medical status and orders.
• Communicate with families/POAs and attending physicians.
• Oversee completion of assessments and care plans.
